Wholesale Manufacturing, Distribution and Supply Companies
HPC Puckett created its Optical Division subsequent to representing Duffens Optical, Inc. in July,1996, when Duffens merged with Essilor International, S.A.  Responding to the needs of the optical industry, with specific emphasis in the wholesale optical laboratory sector, HPC Puckett has been instrumental in consolidating the vast majority of the domestic wholesale optical laboratory industry, through merger and acquisition transactions.  HPC Puckett has handled, and continues to handle, the vast majority of sector mergers and acquisitions in the United States and internationally. Subsequent to the Duffens transaction, HPC Puckett has represented over 250 companies in the United States and abroad, having been sold to Essilor alone.

Along with its other industry transactions, HPC Puckett, on the sell-side, represented a core group of ten laboratories in sales to Optical Resources Group, Inc., commencing with the sales of Benedict Optical, Inc. and Sierra Optical, Inc. in June, 1998. The Firm was instrumental in the valuation procedures, the structure of convertible debentures, and the integration of operations by Optical Resources; while at all times maximizing its client's interest.  In March, 2000, HPC Puckett then represented Optical Resources in its $150 million merger to become HOYA USA.

In addition to the optical laboratory transactions, HPC Puckett has successfully completed dozens of sell-side engagements in lens manufacturing and distribution companies, contact lens distribution, Optical E-Commerce, the merger of EyeBuyDirect.com and FramesDirect.com, over a dozen anti-reflective and custom hard coating companies, and numerous optical supply, service, and specialty optical manufacturing companies.  HPC Puckett has been at the forefront of the consolidation of doctor and retail alliances, having represented multiple sellers such as PECAA; buying groups tied to laboratories and distribution, such as Diversified Optical; and retail alliances, such as Opti-Port.
